My name is Alexa Cohen and I am not my eating disorder!!!

I have always had a passion for helping people but I never knew how it would become present in my life. I was never the top student in the class, or the one who always got an A, but I always had a love for writing. I have always had a creative spark in me and I especially learned that when I started my own jewelry business during the 2020 quarantine. It was my favorite new thing to do when everything had been taken away from me. I would produce, create, and advertise my products. It was always just a fun little escape.

Some of my blogs were written long before I created this site. I had always gotten positive feedback on my writing but I never knew what to do with them. My mom, Laura Cohen, had created a blog a few months before I created mine. My mom has always been a huge inspiration of mine. After seeing the passion she had for her blog, I decided to create my own.

I grew up in Natick, Massachusetts, and went to school for all my life so far. I am now a Sophomore at the University of New Hampshire and I absolutely love it! As I said before, I was never the top student, but I get by with good grades. I care a lot about my schoolwork and take it seriously.

Another love of mine is gymnastics. I have been doing competitive gymnastics ever since I was around 6 years old. I am now currently doing club gymnastics at school and I LOVE it so much. I was the captain of the high school team and got a lot of amazing recognition along my journey. Gymnastics has always been an outlet for me, whether it be school stress, home stress, or just anything, it is always there for me to go back to. It has always been a constant in my life.

If you don’t know me personally you may not know, but I am a HUGE dog person. I have two doggos, Coco and Murray. They are the love of my lives. Our daily cuddles and play sessions make the world go round. I just love their smushy faces so much.

My favorite thing growing up has always been boating in the summer. I am a huge waterskier, it is genuinely my favorite thing to do. It has brought my dad and I closer which is so special to me. Even if the boat breaks down in the middle of the lake we always make it a good time.
